10 Tips for the Future Internet Entrepreneur

For you the future internet entrepreneur, here are 10 unwritten rules that will prevent you from 'skidding off of the rails and into the ditch where so many of your fellow future internet entrepreneurs have ended up. Make a point of reading through these tips on a regularly basis to help you remain focused on the long and winding road that is ahead of every future Internet entrepreneur.

1. First and foremost, lets take a look at the advantages of creating and building an online income stream, an income stream that can keep flowing even while your asleep or better still having a holiday. The Internet entrepreneurs place of work is open for business 24 hours a day seven days a week and for 365 days of the year. What that means is that the Internet entrepreneur can work when they want and for as long as they want. Many of our the Internet entrepreneurs regular duties can be run on auto-pilot leaving the Internet entrepreneur with more time for family, social and leisure activities. Internet entrepreneurs find that this offers a less stressful working environment, and to a certain extent they are always in control of thier own rewards. However, it is important to remember that there are never in my experiance any true 'Get-Rich-Quick' schemes on the Internet. If you do find one then please contact me and lets hear all about it. Look upon this new venture in much the same way as you would if you were creating an offline business, which, in order to be successful, requires commitment and a positive attitude right from the offset, with scant rewards if any in the early days.
   
   
2. While it is important to have your mindset focused on a full-time successful online business that will enable you to become that internet entrepreneur it is useful, especially early in your Internet career, as part of the learning curve, to try out a few programs in your spare time. Get the feel of the Internet marketing arena and at the same time learn as much as you can about HTML, scripts and scripting languages, creating attractive images and even building your very first website! This can all be achieved as a 'spare time' or hobby activity. You want to become an internet entrepreneur but don't sack your boss just yet. Do you have the confidence in your complete ability to earn a regular income that will sustain your current level of living? There may be a lot to learn but, trust me, if you're focused, it will be worth the effort that you are going to have to put into this.
   
   
3. NEVER EVER EVER under any circumstances...get involved in 'get paid to read email' sites—these sites are scams that prey on future internet entrepreneur like yourself and you won't earn a penny from them. They won't even answer your emails of complaint! In fact any website telling you that your money will be doubled or tripled in a matter of days, or you will become rich over night, are scams. Please just listen to me and trust me Avoid them like the plague!! It's not that difficult to find honest and decent traders on the Internet. Look for offline contact points first like an address or telephone number as its a good sign they are genuine and you should contact them before signing anything. Another good test is to send them an email before you sign up to see how efficiently they reply. Avoid the 'Get-Rich-Quick' schemes--they don't work! Did you read and understand the above paragraph? Did I tell you that get rich quick schemes just do not work.
   
   
4. Imagine you have just discovered a method of earning a huge amount of money on the Internet. Would you then offer to tell everyone about your 'secret formula'? I don't think so and if you did then you need a check up from the neck up! You will no doubt on your way to becoming an internet entrepreneur come across those who will try to convince you that they have found such a recipe for ultimate success and wealth, and no doubt offer to share the secret with you. Again your just going to have to trust me and believe me it will cost you, not just financially but in wasted time too. They can often be big costs so always shy away when you see the word 'Secrets', or see huge income amounts thrown about. If they make that sort of income why are they still pushing the one line cheap ads online?
   
   
5. Similarly, ask yourself this question...would a internet entrepreneur who says he's earning several million dollars a year bother to write and market an eBook describing how he did it? Go with your first instincts, as they are usually very accurate!
   
   
6. Don't pay too much if any attention to images of earnings or bank statements purportedly demonstrating how much the account holding internet entrepreneur has earned. It is a simple task to create whatever documents you want with a little creativity and some clever software. The same goes for letters of recommendation or testimonials that the advertising internet entrepreneur has displayed and is proudly promoting. Anyone can write them or get their collegues to do some for them! They may con some, but don't let it be you they are fooling!
   
   
7. Always think positive and stay focused at all times. If you were to take a close look at all the successful internet entrepreneurs who have made a great deal of money from their endeavors, you would find they have one thing in common! Dedication!! They are prepared to work long and hard to achieve their goals. Remember to write your goals down and read them to yourself over and over. Do not lose heart if everything doesn't come together today or the next day. The successful internet entrepreneurs are never influenced by the 'quick buck' and will put in the hard yards and a little bit of extra commitment. I cannot stress the point often enough to you that the get rich quick schemes just do not work.
   
   
8. Get yourself organised! Keep all your business activities in good order keep them logged and documents filed in the correct folders. Check your email accounts at least daily are a minimum requirement and file the important emails. Don't be frightened to name a file or folder with a long name (within reason). You should be able to access any file, folder, software or email within 30 seconds. So much time can be saved with a tidy desktop and a simple filling system. Always reply to emails that ask direct questions, if you don’t have time straight away then at least give the enquirer the courtesy of a note to say you will get back to them.
   
   
9. Stick to the basic Netiquette or as we like to say the Nete-Quette of Internet Marketing. Don't be tempted to send out high volume unsolicited email, no matter how you justify it in your mind it is still spam. It is never worth the hassle, Read the Terms and Conditions section when you join a program and if you decide to sign up, then adhere to those terms. You will make useful contacts during your Internet campaigns. Try not to 'step on toes or upset people on your way up to the top of the internet entrepreneur ladder as these will be the same people that will help you achieve your goals .
   
   
10. Never leave large amounts of funding in any online marketing or promotion website! If you have a paypal account then always take money out of the account and transfer it to your bank account. I say this because all websites have a strict policy on spamming and if you are ever accused (rightly or wrongly) of sending unsolicited emails, you are likely to have your account closed, which could result in you losing your current funding too!

The two main things are: 1. ‘Add me’ and 2. ‘Thanks for the add’. Set targets for yourself, say 500 per day, per site. Upload your entire life to the internet – and tag everything. Try and remember it’s the quantity, not quality of your work. If you upload enough old photos, school reports and phone disconnection notices, you will come up on page one in Google for everything.
